Head of Finance & People
(f/m/d)
As a Finance & People Generalist, you are jointly responsible for operational financial processes and HR-related topics. You keep track of figures, deadlines and people, provide support in controlling and play an active role in HR processes.
Your structured and independent way of working helps you to combine both areas efficiently. You regularly coordinate with the various stakeholders (management, employees, banks and external consultants) and remain calm even in hectic phases.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Tasks
- Planning incoming and outgoing payments (liquidity planning)
- Recording and transferring incoming invoices (payment transactions)
- Document pre-entry for accounting (incoming and outgoing invoices, credit cards...)
- Preparation of month-end closing (reconciliation of incoming and outgoing invoices, payments, interest calculation)
- Product calculation and calculation of cost of goods sold
- Assistance in the preparation of the monthly management report and analysis
- Creating & sending cost center reports (target/actual comparison)
- Sales and development controlling (creation & analysis of reports)
- Assistance with annual financial statements incl. reconciliation of inventory
- Budgeting incl. personnel cost planning
- Collaboration on funding applications and funding accounting incl. research premium
- Communication with banks, funding agencies, tax consultants
Tasks People
Preparation of employment contracts & other agreements (parental leave, changes in hours...)
Communication with payroll accountant (registration, salary...) and labor law experts
Checking & approval of travel expense reports & monthly payroll accounting
Adjustment of vacation entitlements in case of changes in hours and leave periods
Administration of time recording system (master data entry and maintenance, maintenance of department and project structure, monthly control & closing)
Half-yearly cover check
Preparation of references and other confirmations
Administration of necessary training courses (SVP, first aiders...)
Creation of job advertisements in coordination with the Hiring Manager
Initial contact & communication with candidates
Participation in job interviews
Requirements Profile
Business administration training with a focus on finance (degree, university of applied sciences or corresponding school education or apprenticeship)
First work experience in the field of finance (accounting, controlling, treasury...)
Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, cost accounting & balance sheet accounting
Basic knowledge of labor law
First ERP system knowledge
Very good knowledge of German and English

Your actual salary will depend on your education, professional experience and qualifications. The basic salary for this position is a minimum salary of EUR 3,575.39 in accordance with the collective agreement (collective agreement for employees in the metalworking industry, salary group IV after two years in the salary group). A fair overpayment in line with the market is important to us and will be agreed in a personal interview.
