BHS Technologies is a medical technology company based in Innsbruck. We develop, manufacture and market technologies that support surgeons and medical professionals in their daily work in the OR.

 

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a full time Service Engineer to join us. In this role, you combine technical work with direct customer interaction and close collaboration with internal teams.

 

You are responsible for maintaining and servicing our systems at our site in Innsbruck and at customer locations. Through regular contact with customers and distribution partners, you collect practical feedback and share it internally, contributing to the ongoing development of our products and services.

You also train and support international partners and customers in German and English. Working closely with colleagues from Service, Research and Development, Education Management and Clinical Sales, you help ensure reliable device operation and short response times.

The following section outlines your main responsibilities and the qualifications we are looking for.

Your main tasks

  • Service and maintenance of the RoboticScope at our facilities in Innsbruck and on-site in hospitals and at our international partners facilities (approx. 30% travel time), including device testing in accordance with EN 62353/VDE 0751.

  • Documentation of conducted work to maintain a complete device history record and to fulfill medical technology regulations.

  • Creating work instructions for internal & external use.

  • Creating training documents for technical staff (internal & external) and conducting trainings.

Your supporting tasks

  • Regular takeover of our bilingual service hotline.

  • Supporting development of and validating cross-departmental processes.

  • Close cooperation with internal interfaces – e.g. development department, production, sales.

Your skills & qualifications

  • You inspire us as a motivated team player with organisational skills

  • Successfully completed technical education (HTL, FH, university), ideally in the field of Mechatronics

  • Drivers license B for at least 2 years

  • High communication skills in German and English, written and spoken

  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as in a team, with high reliability

  • Ability to proactively identify, communicate and implement the need for action

  • Willingness to take on responsibility

  • Willigness to travel, also on short notice

  • Willingness to acquire new knowledge on your own initiative

  • IT affinity and understanding of complex processes

Skills that are welcome but not mandatory

  • Knowledge in the field of medical or medical technology industry

  • Experience in training technical staff and in creating training documents

  • Experienced knowledge in MS 365 – Outlook, Word, Teams, Sharepoint

  • Experience with ERP and ticket systems

In addition to the obligatory, classic office tools from Microsoft, we use a modern IT environment with the tools CONFLUENCE as a documentation and development system and JIRA for project organization with which we organize our workload in small teams via 2-week sprints.

We would like to point out that the minimum basic salary for this position is EUR 2,727.40 (14x) gross, depending on education and experience. There is an express willingness to pay more!
